One Church, One Spirit – 1 Cor 12:12-18

12 For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

One Church, one body.

When a part of the body is hurting, the whole body is hurting

In the 12th Chapter of Corinthians, Paul speaks to the entire church.

God made us all one family in Christ.

When Jesus prayed for His disciples his prayer was for unity in the church

It takes humility, gentleness, and patience and tolerance for one another in love.

The word minister means servant.

We serve each other, because we love each other and because we love Jesus.

One Church, one Spirit.

The Holy Spirit equips us for ministry by giving each believer one or more Spiritual gifts according to His will.

Bibically speaking, all Christians are ministers.

These spiritual gifts are first and foremost to serve each other

Use of these Spiritual gifts is an evidence of cooperating with the Spirit of God within us.

If we will cooperate with the Holy Spirit, working together as one body, using our spiritual gifts to serve each other, the body the church will get stronger.
