Alegators and Focus

ACTS 25

Allegators: [taken from Pastor Don’s personal dictionary] Persons who publicly bring charges of wrong doing against another based upon their biased viewpoints and experiences.

In life we are going to experience _________________.

Jude 16 Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men [allegators], “See the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of His holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” These men are grumblers and fault finders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage.

To withstand allegators, keep a ___________ on the joy ahead.

Hebrews 12:2-3 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

James 1: 2-3, 12 Consider it pure joy whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance… Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial, because when they stand the test, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.

Ephesians 6:10-12 Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, authorities and powers of this dark world and spiritual forces in the heavenly realms.
