Mark 9:17-24 “Teacher, I brought my son so you could heal him. He is possessed by an evil spirit that won’t let him talk. Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. Then he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.” Jesus replied, “You faithless people! How long must I put up with you? Bring the boy to me!” So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground writhing and foaming at the mouth. Jesus asked the father, “How long has this been happening?” He replied “Since he was a little boy, it has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. Have mercy on us and help us if you can.” Jesus replied, “What do you mean, if I can? Anything is possible if a person believes.” Immediately the boy’s father cried out, “I do believe, help me with my unbelief!”

John 12:37-39, 44 Despite all the miraculous signs Jesus had done, most of the people still did not believe in him. This is exactly what Isaiah the prophet had predicted: “Lord, who has believed our message? To whom has the Lord revealed His powerful arm?” But the people still wouldn’t believe… “When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the One who sent me!”
