Asking for the Wrong Things

•What does God promise us?
•To supply every need (Phil 4:19)
•His grace is sufficient (2 Cor. 12:9)
•We will not be overtaken with temptation (1 Cor. 10:13)
•Victory over death (2 Cor. 15:57)
•All things work together… (Rom. 8:28)
•If we believe and obey we will be saved (Mk. 16:16; Acts 2:38)
•Eternal life (John 10:27,28)
•NO positive confession
•“If you abide in me and my words abide in you…”
Asking for the Wrong Answer
•God answers…
•God answers all prayers in one of three ways:
•Yes, no or wait
•God’s wisdom is perfect, so His answer is perfect
•The challenge is for us – imperfect – to trust Him and His answer
So Then, How Should We Pray?
•What does Jesus say? Start with God
•What else does He say?
•You have a choice. God has a choice.
