Why A Disciplined Life?

Why A Disciplined Life?

1 Timothy 4:7-8 But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds the promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

Discipline is the path to GODLINESS.

1 Timothy 4:7 Discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness.

Discipline training comes from a DAILY effort to FOLLOW Jesus.

Luke 9:23 “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”

“Christianity without discipline is always Christianity without Christ.” – Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Bad HABITS can be changed into good HABITS by DISCIPLINED training and the HOLY SPIRIT.

2 Peter 2:14 With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed – an accursed brood!

Philippians 2:12-13 Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose.

A disciplined LIFE grows from disciplined study.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
