JOHN 2:1-11
I. JESUS LOVES YOU AND GOD HAS INDEED BLESSED YOU:
- THE QUESTION IS, “DO YOU LOVE GOD AND DO YOU LOVE
JESUS ?”- (1) Consider The Love That GOD Has For You, That GOD , (THE CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH, AND EVERYTHING ELSE THAT HAS BEEN CREATED), That HE Took On The Form Of Man, In The Flesh, Becoming Like Us, That HE Could Understand All That Mankind Might Ever Experience In Life, That t HE Might Say Unto Each Of Us, “”I LOVE YOU!” (Read John 1:1-14) (Also Read John 3;!6 and Hebrews 4:14-16)
- (2) GOD Did This While We Were Living A Life In Total Rebellion To HIM, (WHICH IS SINFUL IN GOD’S SIGHT AND HIS PENALTY FOR THAT SINFULNESS IS DEATH OR SEPARATION FROM HIM), But Even While We Were Yet Sinners, GOD In The Flesh, (THAT IS JESUS) Was Willing To Pay Our Sin Debt For Us In That HE ,JESUS CHRIST SACRIFICED HIS LIFE ON CALVARY, (SATISFYING OUR SIN DEBT) That We Might Be Reconciled With GOD. Oh What Love GOD Has For Us! (Read John 1:15-34) (Also Read Romans 5:8; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Isaiah 53:1-12 and Galatians 4:4-7)
- (3) Understanding This Love That GOD Has For You, Have You Responded To That Love, By Receiving JESUS CHRIST As Your Personal Savior, Even To Enter Into A Personal Relationship With GOD And JESUS By Making Them “THE LORD OF YOUR LIFE” As A Wife Would Commit To Her Husband , Even To Leave All Your Past Loves Behind You That You Follow JESUS Wherever HE Lead You; Even As Andrew And Peter, Even James And John; Even Phillip And Nathanael ? (Read Matthew 4:18-22; and John 1:35-51) (Also Read Ephesians 5:22-33)
- THIS MORNING I PRAY THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED GOD’S LOVE AND THAT YOU HAVE MADE SUCH A COMMITMENT TO HIS SON JESUS CHRIST, EVEN TO FOLLOW HIM ALL THE DAYS OF YOUR LIFE ?
- (1) Now Having Such Faith In Your Commitment To GOD And JESUS, I Would Like To Take You To A Very Obscure Place Called “CANA OF GALILEE”. ( Let’s Read John 2;1-11)
- (2) Traditionally, This Wedding Would NOT Last Only A Few Hours, But Perhaps A Few Days And Even A Week.
- (3) JESUS Was At The Wedding Feast Because HE Was Invited; Which Helps To Us To Realize That JESUS Will Go Wherever HE Is Invited. (John 2:2) (Also Read Revelation 3:20 ; Matthew 8:5-15 and Luke 7:36)
II. WELL, LET’S LOOK FURTHER INTO THIS ACCOUNT AND LEARN MORE ABOUT JESUS AND HIS LOVE:
- AS WE HAVE ALREADY READ, THIS IS THE ACCOUNT OF JESUS, “TURNING WATER INTO WINE” : (John 2:3-11)
- (1) Now It Was The Responsibility Of The Family Of The Bride And Groom To Provide An Abundant Supply Of Every Thing For This Great Celebration, And To Run Out Of Anything Would Be Of Great Embarrassment , Even Humiliation To The Entire Family, But JESUS Doesn’t Want Anyone To Be Embarrassed Or Humiliated. (Read John 10:10 and Matthew 12:15-21) (Also Read Isaiah 42:1-9)
- (2) Now We Think Of JESUS In Many Different Ways, But Let Us Catch A Glimpse Of JESUS At The Wedding Party. (John 2:3-4) (Also Read Isaiah 53:1-12)
- (3) Now, As I Said Earlier, Mary Had Great Confidence In JESUS, And She Told Her Friends, “YOU JUST DO WHATEVER JESUS TELLS YOU, AND EVERYTHING ELSE WILL BE OKAY.” And It Was. (John 2:5-9)
- REALIZE THAT WHENEVER A PERSON SUBMITS FULLY TO THE INSTRUCTION OF JESUS, TO DO AS JESUS INSTRUCT, THAT PERSON WILL ALWAYS RECEIVE THE BEST THAT GOD HAS TO OFFER, AND GOD’S BEST IS ALWAYS PERFECT.. (Read John 2:10) (Also Read Jeremiah 29:11-13 And Romans 8:28)
- (1) Once The Servants Of The Household Did As JESUS Instructed, JESUS Told The Servants To Take A Sample Of What HE Provided, To The One In Charge Of Providing The Wine For The Party, (The Wine Taster), The Expert In Knowing Good Wine, That HE Could First Sample The Wine.
- (2) GOD’S Plan And Purpose Is Always The Best, “IT IS A PLAN TO PROSPER YOU AND NOT TO HARM YOU, A PLAN TO GIVE YOU HOPE AND A FUTURE”, But The Key To Experiencing GOD’S Plan Is OBEDIENCE To Do As HE Instructs,.”. (Read Again And Meditate On Jeremiah 29:11-13 And Romans 8:28)
III. DO YOU LOVE JESUS ?
- WILL YOU ACCEPT JESUS’ PROPOSAL TO BECOME HIS BRIDE ?
- (1) With A Full Knowledge Of Who You Are And What Your Life Has Been Like In The Past, GOD Has Chosen You To Become The Bride Of HIS SON, JESUS THE CHRIST. (Read Romans 8:29-30; Ephesians 1:3-14 ; Ephesians 5:22-33 and I Peter 2:4
- (2) According To GOD’S Foreknowledge Of You GOD Has Chosen You To Be Joined To HIM In A Holy Covenant, (Like As A Marriage Union) And HE Has Spelled Out That Which HE Requires Of You As Well As To What HE Offers You, But You, Understanding Both HIS Requirements And HIS Blessings Unto You, You Have The Free Right To Accept Or Reject HIS Proposal. (Read Deuteronomy 10:12 thru Deuteronomy 11:32; Deuteronomy 28:1-68; Deuteronomy 30:11-20; Joshua 24:14-15; Joshua 24:16-24) (Also Read Matthew 8:18-22; Matthew 22:34-40 And Luke 18:18-30)
- (3) You Can Take As Much Time As You Desire To Read GOD’S Covenant With YOU, (That Is HIS HOLY BIBLE), But Nothing Is Biding Until You Accept The Proposal, But Once You Do Accept That Proposal And As You Live Up To HIS Covenant With You, You Will Be Blessed By GOD , The FATHER Of JESUS CHRIST, The BRIDE GROOM, Now And Forever More, Because GOD Hates Divorce . (Read John 1:10-13; John 3:1-36; John 14:1-27; John 15:1-17 ; John 15:18 thru John 16:33; Romans 8:1-39; Hebrews 12:1-13;I Corinthians 15:1-58; II Corinthians 5:1-21; I Thessalonians 4:1-18; II Peter 3:1-18 and Revelation 20:11 thru Revelation 22:21) (Also Read James 4:4-10 and Malachi 2:16)
- IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY ACCEPTED GOD’S COVENANT OF PROPOSAL , WILL YOU TAKE TIME TO READ IT, (AT LEAST THE ENCLOSED SCRIPTURES) , TO STUDY THEM, AND AFTER READING AND STUDYING GOD’S COVENANT WITH YOU, BE ENCOURAGED TO ACCEPT THAT COVENANT THAT GOD DESIRES TO MAKE WITH YOU.
- (1) First Of All Realize That You Are A Sinner And That Your Sin Has Separated You From GOD. (Read Romans 3:23 and Romans 6:23)
- (2) Secondly, Realize That GOD Has Loved You So Much That HE Has Allowed HIS One And Only SON, JESUS CHRIST To Take Your Punishment For Your Sin On Calvary’s Cross, Even To Pay Your Sin Debt In Full , To Satisfy That Sin Debt In The Sight Of GOD , That You Can Become Reconciled With GOD, Where Your Sin Has Once Separated You From GOD. (Read John 3:16-17; Romans 5:8; II Corinthians 5:11-21; Ephesians 2:1-22)
- (3) Realizing These Truths, Express Faith In JESUS CHRIST As That One Who Made That Sacrifice To Pay Your Sin Debt In Full and Add To That Faith A Godly Sorrow For Your Sin As Well As A Repentant Heart, Making The Decision To Turn From Your Life Of Deliberately Disobeying GOD’S Commands And Make A Commitment To Love GOD With All Your Heart, And As A Demonstration Of That Love, Serve HIM According To The Dictates That GOD Explains In HIS WORD, That You Live A Righteous Lifestyle All The Days Of Your Life. (Read Matthew 3:1 thru Matthew 4:17; Luke 13:1-5; Acts 2:37-39; Matthew 6:25-34; Romans 12:1-21; II Corinthians 7:8-11; Hebrews 11:1-6 Hebrews 12:1-12; I Thessalonians 5:16-24 and II Peter 1:3-11);
- EVEN NOW, PRAY A PRAYER OF REPENTANCE, HUMBLY CONFESSING YOUR SIN TO GOD, TRUSTING JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR, AND THEN COMMIT YOUR LIFE TO HIS SERVICE ALL THE DAYS OF YOUR LIFE; AND THEN, TELL SOMEONE OF YOUR PERSONAL COMMITMENT TO GOD AND JESUS, THAT THEY PRAY FOR YOU:
