ACTS 2:36-39 [NASB] “Let all of the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both LORD and Christ – this Jesus whom you crucified. 37Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brethren, what shall we do?” 38And Peter said to them, “Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39For the promise is for you AND your children, and for ALL who are far off, as many as the LORD our God shall call to Himself.”
GOD DECLARES JESUS AS MESSIAH:
LORD = Kurios, one who wields authority for the good.
CHRIST = Christos, one who acts as a redeemer of life.
Malachi 2:6-7 True instruction was in His mouth, and unrighteousness was not found on His lips; He walked with Me in peace and uprightness, and He turned many back from iniquity. For the lips of a priest should preserve knowledge, and men should seek instruction from His mouth; for He is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.
GOD DECLARES AMBASSADORS:
2 Corinthians 5:17-20 17IF any man is IN Christ, he IS a new creature; the old things HAVE PASSED AWAY; behold, NEW things HAVE COME. 18Now ALL these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ, and GAVE us the ministry of reconciliation, 19namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has COMMITTED TO US the word of reconciliation. 20Therefore, we ARE ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
