Vision Correction

VISION CORRECTION (MP3)
Acts 10:1-33

In Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a Roman centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment who was:
1. DEVOUT
2. GOD-FEARING
3. GENEROUS and
4. A MAN OF PRAYER.

Maybe out of tribute to Jesus he prayed at three in the afternoon, the time when Jesus was sentenced to die.
His PRAYERS to God and his GIFTS to the poor arose to God as a MEMORIAL offering.

Hebrews 6:10 God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them.

The angel of God tells Cornelius in a vision that Peter is staying in JOPPA with Simon a TANNER who lives by the sea. Caesarea is 12 miles from JOPPA by a Roman road called the Great Trunk Highway.

Cornelius sends two SERVANTS and a devout SOLDIER to bring Peter to his home. These three would represent Cornelius’ POWER, TRUST and LOVE for God.

John 15:15 “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” – Jesus

Peter is praying and hungry and in a vision sees heaven opened and a large sheet with ALL kinds of ANIMALS, REPTILES and BIRDS. God instructs him to GET UP, KILL and EAT. And Peter declines stating they are IMPURE and UNCLEAN. God then corrects him.

Cornelius’ entourage arrives and they tell Peter their master’s VISION and they leave the next day.

In honor of Peter, Cornelius gathers his FAMILY and FRIENDS to hear the gospel of Jesus.

Acts 1:8 “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Peter and Cornelius share their vision corrections and are ready to receive what the Lord commands. When God’s Spirit invades, PEACE prevails and TRUTH is revealed.
