The Promised Gift

Acts 1:3-5 After He had suffered, He also presented Himself alive to them by many convincing proofs, appearing to them during 40 days and speaking about the kingdom of God. While He was together with them, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the Father’s promise. Jesus said, “This is what you heard from Me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

For 40 days, Jesus shows grace to His disciples for the purpose of the renewal of their faith in the kingdom of God and to introduce the spiritual connection to be produced by God’s gift.

Colossians 1:13-14 God has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son He loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
