Introduction to the Book of Colossians
The city of Colosse was located about 120 miles east of Ephesus, in Asia Minor (modern day Turkey). It had close neighboring cities of Laodicea and Hieropolis that shared the Lycus River and Valley. Paul never visited Colosse but was the spiritual “father,” of Epaphras and Tychicus dedicated servants of the Gospel in that area.
