Acts 2:42
They were devoted to the apostles’ teaching.
Matthew 28:18-20
Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
To be devoted to the apostles’ teaching means having a humble DESIRE to be taught about faith in Jesus and PERSONALLY applying that faith in life.
3 John 17-21
The apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ said, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires. These are the men who will divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit. But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.”
1 Peter 2:1-3, 9
Rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave spiritual milk, so that you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good… You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God that you may declare the praise of him who called you out of darkness and into His wonderful light
